About Ronald Rier

“I’m calling to say that I’m finally ready to answer that one question you asked me years ago. Can we set up a meeting?”

Messages like this are not unusual for Ronald Rier (1969). They reflect the deep impact he has on the people he works with at Bold Coach Academy. When Ronald enters a room, you feel his presence.

With nearly 30 years of experience working with people, he skillfully integrates models, tools, and techniques, weaving them together with his own rich life experience. Key formative experiences in his journey include his time as a marine in the special forces, his modeling years on Parisian catwalks for designers like Jean Paul Gaultier and John Galliano, his service with the Amsterdam Police, and learning under several personal development mentors, including Frits Philips, Frank Hellendoorn, Frits Wilmsen, and Roekie Aronds.

Ronald is an alchemist who has combined all the experiences with the many teams and individuals on his path into a unique, human-centered approach. His insatiable hunger for knowledge and expertise makes him both an expert and a student. This openness is characteristic of his way of connecting and building relationships: being present and staying engaged, even—or especially—when it gets difficult. No growth without resistance.

Driven by his innate and profound interest in what shapes and moves us as humans, his own development is a constant journey. Currently, he is studying cell biology, epigenetics, and experiencing the transformative effects of a 10-day Vipassana meditation. In his coaching, he increasingly incorporates the body. The power of breathwork, the effects of yoga, and the role of cellular memory, where unresolved emotions create blockages, are areas of his deep interest.
